Sam Grossman
Founder

As the Founder of Grossman Company Properties and Classic Hotels & Resorts®, Sam Grossman began his real estate career with the purchase of Chris-Town Mall in the early 1960s and eventually built a portfolio of commercial properties including shopping centers, office buildings, hotels and resorts, multi-family residential and agricultural land. He attended UCLA and Stanford University and was Arizona’s Democratic candidate for the United States Senate in 1970.

Sam is a well-known commercial real estate lecturer and has spoken in various cities around the world. He is a graduating member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, a member of the Chief Executive Organization, a retired member of the Board of Trustees of the United States Ski Team, and Founder of the Arizona Biltmore Children’s Charities. He is also a past council member of the Urban Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers.

John Grossman
Chief Executive Officer

John drives investment and development across the GCP and Classic hospitality portfolio of properties. As CEO and Creative Director, he leads all aspects of project conception, design, branding, programming, and positioning for long-term stewardship of each asset.

His 20 years of experience in real estate development combine expertise in design-forward and environmentally conscious hospitality, office, aged care, affordable housing, and high-quality housing developments in markets ranging from San Francisco, CA to Sydney, Australia.  John is an active member of Young Presidents’ Organization and serves as a Trustee of Idaho Rivers United and Climate Ride.

Charles Carlise
Vice Chairman

Charles Carlise was appointed President of Grossman Company Properties in 1976 after having joined GCP in April of 1967 as Vice President of Operations. He was appointed Director in 1995. Prior to his employment at GCP, Charles was Vice President and Senior Title Officer of Lawyers Title of Arizona, having advanced to that title at the youngest age ever in the history of the company.

Charles, a graduate of Arizona State University, has been involved in various organizations including the Young Presidents’ Organization, International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute, Shopping Center Industry Political Action Committee, Land Title Association, and the Right-of-Way Association. He has been on the boards and committees of the Foundation for Senior Living, the Hidden Springs Community School, Xavier High School Board and the Diocese of Phoenix Financial Development Committee.

W. Matthew Crow
Managing Director

Prior to assuming his role as Managing Director, Matt served as President and CEO of Grossman Company Properties for 30 years. As Managing Director, Matt will continue to serve on the Board of Directors for GCP and the Grossman Family Office. Before accepting a position with GCP, he was an investment banker in New York and one of the founders of Citicorp Investment Bank’s international real estate finance group.

Matt received his MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin. He graduated with honors with a BA degree in History and a BBA degree in Management, also from UT-Austin. He is the past President of the Board of Directors of the Urban Land Institute – Arizona District Council, and has served on the Board of Trustees of the Heard Museum, as Vice Chairman of the Greater Phoenix Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, and President of Biltmore Area Partners. Matt is currently a member of World Presidents’ Organization.

Michael Pedulla
President

Michael Pedulla was named President of Grossman Company Properties in Spring 2021 and he will lead the company’s strategic planning and growth and will oversee operations of the company and its real estate portfolio. Michael has more than 20 years of experience in real estate related investment, development, asset management and finance across many markets and property types. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Co-President of Cityline Partners, a DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners subsidiary, on a large scale mixed-use and land development in Northern Virginia, in addition to leading other investments in the region.

Michael received his Master of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP and the Cornell Real Estate Council.

Richard Behr
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Richard Behr has served as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Classic Hotels & Resorts, a Grossman affiliate, since 2007. In 2019, Richard was named Executive Vice President of Grossman Company Properties, and he now serves concurrent roles. Richard leads the operations and profitability of GCP and a growing collection of hotels, while achieving optimum operating standards and efficiencies. Richard brings over 30 years of experience and leadership working with prestigious hotel companies including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Destination Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, The Phoenician Resort, Arizona Biltmore and Royal Palms Resort & Spa.

Richard has been the recipient of numerous industry awards bestowed by Mobil, AAA, and Conde’ Nast and was appointed to the Governor’s Tourism Alliance. In addition, he has served on the boards of the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association, Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Richard earned a degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.

Mark Dymek
Chief Investment Officer

Mark Dymek is responsible for leading the execution of the GCP and Classic Hotels & Resorts real estate investment style and strategy.  This includes identifying, evaluating, and executing investment and acquisition opportunities on behalf of GCP and Classic Hotels & Resorts.

Marks brings a wealth of real estate expertise to this position, spanning complex deal structuring, investment property sales and acquisitions, mortgage loan sales and acquisitions and management of private equity funds.

Prior to joining GCP in February 2019, Mark served as a Managing Director at Eastdil Secured, previously serving as Senior Vice President of The Mills Corporation and Secured Capital Corp (predecessor organization to Eastdil Secured). Mark began his career as a Senior Accountant with Price Waterhouse in the Greater Phoenix Market upon earning his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University.

Jake Gray
Executive Vice President

Jake Gray joined GCP in 2011 and currently holds the position of Executive Vice President with Grossman Company Properties and Classic Hotels & Resorts. In this role, Jake participates in the overall strategic planning, acquisitions, financing, development and operations of the Company.

Jake is an active contributor to Arizona organizations that enhance our community and business environment. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Partnership Forum Program and Vice Chair of ULI’s Young Leaders Group. Jake is also active with Valley Big Brothers Big Sisters and is currently serving as a “big brother”.

Jake holds a BS in Construction Management, minor in Business from Northern Arizona University and a Professional Certificate of Real Estate Development from Arizona State Universities Masters in Real Estate Development Program.

Ennis Dale
Senior Vice President & General Counsel

Ennis Dale joined Grossman Company Properties in March 1995 as Senior Vice President. Ennis had previously served as Senior Vice President of one of the country’s largest title insurance companies and as President of its real estate development subsidiary. Prior to that, he was responsible for the successful financial restructuring of one of the Southwest’s largest real estate development and homebuilding companies and refinancing in excess of $500 million of debt.

Ennis received his LLM (Taxation) from New York University, a Juris Doctorate, with Distinction, from Indiana University, as well as a BBA and MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Michigan.

Larry Coltharp
Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Larry Coltharp joined Grossman Company Properties in 2005 as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this capacity, Larry oversees all financial, treasury, tax and information technology functions. Larry brings over 35 years of experience to the company, having started his career in public accounting as an auditor with Touché Ross & Co. in New Orleans and Atlanta. He later held Director of Finance and Controller positions with several leading Fortune 500 and Fortune 500-equivalent international organizations in the Atlanta area.

Larry graduated with honors from the University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is also a member of the National Association of Real Estate Companies and Financial Executives International.

Stanley Gray
Senior Vice President, Construction

Stanley Gray is a 40+ year veteran of Grossman Company Properties and in his current capacity he oversees all development, operations, and construction activities, including expansions, renovations, tenant improvements, budgeting, capital projects and environmental issues for the GCP and Classic Hotels & Resorts’ portfolios.

Throughout his tenure at Grossman, Stanley has directly supervised the multi-million dollar expansions of several regional shopping centers, office buildings, and hotels including the complete renovation and expansion of the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa, the Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, Biltmore Fashion Park and Chris-Town Spectrum Mall. In addition, he has played a major role in the due diligence and assessments of potential acquisitions. Stanley is a graduate of the American General Contractors Association for Project Management.

Anne McGoldrick
Senior Vice President, Management

Since 1980, Anne McGoldrick has been involved in a wide range of management duties within the Grossman organization. Currently, she oversees the management, marketing and leasing of the Arizona properties as well as coordinates the Arizona Grand Villas program and sales efforts and serves as Secretary of the Arizona Grand Villas Association. Anne’s past positions with GCP include the coordination of corporate reporting requirements to our various partners and lenders, and she has held the position of General Manager of Biltmore Fashion Park, Town & Country, and Chris-Town Spectrum Mall and Asset Manager for multi-family properties.

Anne is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She has participated in the International Council of Shopping Centers education programs and has served as the ICSC State Operations Chair. Anne holds an Arizona Department of Real Estate Sales license and currently serves on the Board of the Arizona Retailers Association.

Tim Price
Executive Vice President

Tim Price provides management oversight of the sales, marketing and revenue strategies for Classic Hotels & Resorts®. He has held a number of leadership positions, including Market Sales Leader for 26 Marriott hotels throughout California. Tim also served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa where he successfully positioned the landmark property as the rate and occupancy leader. Tim was employed with Marriott for more than 20 years.

Tim is a recipient of the coveted Sales Leader of the Year Award honoring his exceptional accomplishments within the hospitality industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Hotel and Restaurant Management degree from the University of Wisconsin.

Mary Crowe
Vice President, Quality Assurance

Mary Crowe provides management oversight of service and quality standards for Classic Hotels & Resorts®. In this role, Mary participates in renovation, re-launch and quality initiatives for Classic Hotels. She has managed a number of luxury properties in California and has worked extensively with renovation, relaunch and new construction projects. Mary serves on several boards including California Hotel & Lodging association, Visit Carmel and the Carmel Foundation.

She is a graduate of Cornell University General Managers Program and holds a Human Resources Management certificate from Sonoma State University.

Dave Yeager
Vice President, Finance

Dave Yeager structures all transitions and manages the hotel portfolio with a customized ownership approach to hotel finance. Dave provides more than 45 years of financial management and leadership to the hospitality industry. He has guided financial operations for such prominent companies as Marriott International, Destination Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts and Stouffer Hotels & Resorts. Dave has directed notable ownership groups including Nestle USA, Alcoa, JMB Realty, Lloyd’s of London, CTF Holdings, MONY Life and AXA Financial.

Nancy Silver
Vice President, Organizational Development

With over 25 years in Human Resources, Nancy Silver has spent her professional life in the hospitality industry. Her career highlights include opening the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale, 17 years with Destination Hotels as the Area HR Director for Royal Palms Resort and Spa, and, most recently, transitioning the former Ritz Carlton Phoenix into the new Camby Hotel.
