John Grossman
President

John Grossman is President of Grossman Company Properties and its affiliate Classic Hotels & Resorts.  He is responsible for the development and design management of Classic Hotels & Resorts projects, and directs all aspects of project conception, branding, marketing and programming.

Prior to joining Grossman Company Properties in 2010, John spent a half-decade overseas in Sydney, Australia working with Greengate Property Group, a local developer specializing in Aged Care Accommodation throughout New South Wales and Queensland.   Previously, John worked at Work Force Housing Associates, a San Francisco based developer specializing in affordable housing projects throughout the Bay Area.

John received his Master of Property and Development from University of New South Wales, and a BA in Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder’s College of Media, Communication and Information. He is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization and Urban Land Institute and serves as a board member of Climate Ride.  John played ice hockey at University of Colorado (ACHA Division I) and is a former professional whitewater kayaker, having competed throughout the United States, Canada and Europe; in 2003 he won the World Surf Kayaking Championship in Ireland.

Richard Behr
Chief Operating Officer

Richard Behr leads daily operations and profitability of a growing collection of hotels while achieving optimum operating standards and efficiencies. Behr brings over 20 years of experience and leadership to the hospitality industry providing considerable expertise to hotel companies including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Destination Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Hotels & Resorts. Behr has also provided leadership and guidance to such prestigious properties as The Phoenician Resort, Arizona Biltmore and Royal Palms Resort & Spa.

Through his vast operational experience and diverse background, Behr promotes an entrepreneurial environment attentive on achieving market potential and increased shareholder value, while focusing on enhanced customer service and judicious owner relations. Behr oversees annual budgeting processes and develops, organizes and manages capital expenditures programs. He affects positive financial growth through short and long range planning, including closely monitoring revenue sources and operating expenses. Behr has been the recipient of numerous industry awards bestowed by Mobil, AAA, and Conde’Nast and was appointed to the Governor’s Tourism Alliance. In addition Behr has served on the boards of the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association, Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Scottsdale Convention & Visitors Bureau. Behr earned a degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University.

Tim Price
VP Sales and Marketing

Tim Price provides visionary leadership and management oversight of the sales, marketing and revenue strategies for Classic Hotels & Resorts. Implementing a balanced approach combining tactical and pragmatic solutions, Price guides both independent and branded properties towards achievement of optimal market penetration.

Price brings a history of exceptional industry experience. He has served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa where he successfully positioned the landmark property as the rate and occupancy leader within the competitive marketplace. Price was employed with Marriott for more than 20 years, holding a number of leadership positions including Director of Sales and Marketing at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel, Market Sales Leader for 26 hotels located in the highly competitive Orange County and Palm Desert markets, Director of Sales at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina, and Director of Sales at Marriott’s Mountain Shadows Resort and Golf Club in Scottsdale. Price is a recipient of the coveted Sales Leader of the Year award honoring his exceptional accomplishments within the hospitality industry. Price holds a Bachelor of Science, Hotel and Restaurant Management degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Dave Yeager
VP Finance

Dave Yeager closely structures, transitions and manages the hotel portfolio with a customized ownership approach to hotel finance. Yeager provides 34 years of financial management and leadership to the hospitality industry. He has guided financial operations for such prominent companies as Marriott International, Destination Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotels & Resorts and Stouffer Hotels & Resorts.

Yeager has directed notable ownership groups including Nestle USA, Alcoa, JMB Realty, Lloyds of London, CTF Holdings, MONY Life and AXA Financial. Yeager provides keen financial insight during numerous hospitality and associated business transitions and acquisitions. Yeager has achieved tremendous success optimizing profit and cash flow with an ownership approach to hotel finance. Yeager earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Management and Accounting from the University of Cincinnati.

Thomas Rosario
VP Revenue Management

Thomas is responsible for providing overall revenue management leadership and strategic guidance for all properties leading to increased profitability and RevPAR Index for our collection of hotels. He brings over 21 years of hotel experience, including department leadership positions in Front Office, Reservations and Revenue Management.

Most recently, Thomas was Director of Market Strategy for White Lodging Services overseeing revenue management for several hotels in Indianapolis. Prior to that, Thomas was employed with the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess for eight years as Director of Revenue, Financial Analyst overseeing responsibilities for a $140 million operation. He has received the Presidents Circle Award/Fairmont Masters five times.

Thomas has also overseen Revenue divisions in the Portland, Hawaii and Chicago Markets

Stanley Gray
Sr. VP Construction

Stanley Gray oversees multi-million dollar expansions, renovations, build outs and major capital projects while providing support to ongoing replacement reserve and facilities management programs. Gray is a 35 year veteran in the construction industry overseeing a diverse array of construction projects including expansions, renovations, tenant improvements, environmental issues and major capital projects.

Throughout his tenure with Classic’s parent company, Grossman Company Properties, Gray has directed multi-million dollar expansions of retail malls, office building projects and hotel renovations, including Arizona Biltmore and Arizona Grand Resort re-developments. Gray is a graduate of the American General Contractors Association for Project Management.

Nancy Silver
VP Organizational Development

With over 25 years in Human Resources, Nancy Silver has spent her professional life inspiring people and organizations, creating optimal, visual and measurable results in service, leadership, relationships, wellness and teamwork.

Nancy’s career highlights include opening the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale, 17 years with Destination Hotels as the Area HR Director for Royal Palms Resort and Spa, leading her own HR/service consulting company and, most recently, transitioning the former Ritz Carlton Phoenix into the new Camby Hotel. Most noteworthy is Nancy’s personalized connection to culture creation, commitment to service excellence, talent search, training and organizational development.

Jake Gray
Vice President of Acquisitions & Development

Jake Gray holds the position of Vice President of Acquisitions and Development with Grossman Company Properties and Classic Hotels & Resorts. In this role, Jake participates in the acquisition, financing, strategy, development and operations of various new and existing assets in the portfolio.

Jake is an active contributor to Arizona organizations that enhance our community and business environment. He is currently serving as Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Partnership Forum Program and Vice Chair of ULI’s Young Leaders Group. Jake is also active with Valley Big Brothers Big Sisters and is currently serving as a “big brother”.

Originally from Phoenix, Jake holds a BS in Construction Management, minor in Business from Northern Arizona University and a Professional Certificate of Real Estate Development from Arizona State Universities Masters in Real Estate Development Program.

Tom Bobo
Development Manager

Tom Bobo focuses on acquisitions, new business opportunities and due diligence. He provides underwriting analysis directly to Classic’s senior management.

Tom provides financial analysis, valuation underwriting, and qualitative strategic assessments of target properties. Tom attended the University of San Diego for graduate school where he received his Master of Business Administration, and received a Master of Science in Real Estate from the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate. While at USD, Tom represented the graduate business school on USD’s Graduate Student Council. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
