Classic Hotels & Resorts is committed to environmental responsibility and sustainability guided by our hotel and green certification partnerships. Classic accepts responsibility for and stewardship of environmental best practices with owners, associates, suppliers and guests and actively works to incorporate ongoing green practices to reduce the environmental impact of the Classic Collection.

Hotels within the Classic Collection independently bestow operating initiatives that meet the corporate responsibility standards of Classic Hotels & Resorts. Property level empowerment and entrepreneurial ownership of conservation initiatives deliver consistent improvements in an effort to maintain an earth-friendly footprint and exceed guests’ expectations.

Whether a new development or an asset currently managed, green initiatives are deployed to deliver eco-friendly results within all areas of each property. Partnerships and practices used include recycling programs covering everything from paper, glass, plant based bio-degradable plastics and cardboard to toner cartridges, fluorescent bulbs and electronics, biodegradable cleaning products, incentive plans for employee use of carpools and/or mass transit, energy-efficient lighting, low-emitting construction materials, partially renewable energy sources, and reduced water usage such as water harvesting and swimming pool evaporation reduction.
